“Movember” in 1000 Hills

1000 Hills’ Gareth Greaves sports an uber-cool statement moustache and is delighted to be encouraging other men to do the same – for a good cause: “Movember” a month in which  men’s health comes into the spotlight, and moustaches are intended to be a mechanism to draw attention to, and initiate conversations around men’s mental and physical health.

Movember is a global community of “Mo Bro” and “Mo Sister” rockstars raising money and making a difference in men’s mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer.

Grow a Mo!

Movember is an annual event involving the growing of moustaches during the month of November. The Movember Foundation runs the Movember charity event, housed at Movember.com. On 1 November all participants should start completely clean shaven. Movember is for one month only and head starts go against the spirit of Movember. The Movember movement, which started Australia in 2003, has grown to be a truly global one, inspiring support from over six million “Mo Bros” and “Mo Sisters” around the world.

SPCA Hidden Treasures

Looking every inch like the dapper, super-cool, retro-inspired chivalrous old-school gentleman, designer / stylist / eventor Gareth Greaves and fellow multi-talented creative / dancer / eventor Kevin Ellis, are the powerhouse behind Kloof and Highway SPCA’s Hidden Treasures and the re-launched Ella Bella shops of vintage collectables, retro garments, art, décor and accessories.

Gareth and Kevin warmly invite you to pop in and browse, and support a great cause – the worthy work of Kloof and Highway SPCA. This Saturday, 6 November, there is a special East Meets West fashion show, dance demo, and themed activities to honour Diwali.
