Visitor Kiosk launched in 1000 Hills.

The proactive 1000 Hills Community Tourism Organisation (CTO) has launched a new visitor info kiosk, which has been installed at The Pot & Kettle in 1000 Hills Village, Old Main Road, Botha’s Hill.

Formally the session was a special general meeting and recruitment drive. All existing members were invited to bring along a non-member “tourism” business representative to attend, in order for the Board to explain the advantages and benefits of joining the 1000 Hills Community Tourism Organisation (CTO).

50 local tourism operators, businesses and active members of the 1000 Hills CTO, got together for an info sharing and networking session, while enjoying a Pot & Kettle harvest table.

The Info Kiosk has a screen showing the CTO’s award-winning promotional videos as well as members are invited to add their promotional videos.   There is also a brochure stand featuring the 1000 Hills Tourism Visitors Guide which promotes activities in the area: including Umgeni Steam Railway, Mushroom Farm, Shongweni Market, PheZulu, Woza Moya, High Stakes and other fabulous attractions; as well as places to stay, places to eat, outdoor and adventure options and tour guides offering various speciality tours.

All CTO members are invited to bring and display their brochures at this popular and visible site. Visitors to 1000 Hills are warmly invited to pop into the Pot & Kettle to check out what is on offer, before meandering among the hills – all 1000 of them!
