Established in 1896, Fig Tree Farm is one of the original farmsteads from when Hillcrest was founded as a stopover between Durban and Pietermaritzburg. Set on the gently rolling hills between Hillcrest and Waterfall, Fig Tree Farm is a lively gathering place for families, adventure lovers and foodies. Visitors young and old are invited to enjoy our beautiful grounds, restaurants, retailers and activities.

You can expect fun for the whole family at Fig Tree Farm. Let your hair down at our spa, shop for beautiful gifts at our retail node, explore and purchase indigenous plants and flowers at our nursery, catch up with friends over amazing coffee and farm fresh food, or walk or ride our trails. There’s also a driving range, putt-putt, laser tag – and more!
