February is the month of love.
We love the hills.
….. all thousand of them!
And we love red roses too!
February is the month of love…. three lucky Caxton readers had the chance to win two beautiful red rose bushes each – to show that their love blooms for longer than one day and can instead blossom for many years to come.
Ludwig’s Star Roses in Assagay generously donated six rose bushes which make the perfect gift – they can be presented to a loved one on Valentine’s Day, but can grow, adding colour – and love – to any garden or patio in perpetuity.
Ludwig’s Star Roses is situated in Assagay. They have been blooming for over 50 years, initially known for beautifying the area around the Heritage Centre in Hillcrest. Their move to Assagay means they have a big show garden which boasts many different roses in full bloom to allow shoppers to admire their colour, shape and scent. Roses can be purchased online, or in situ. Rose related products are also available. Each rose has its own identity, name, history and story. Their rose garden has doorstop parking to ease of access.
In the winners goodie bags were little Woza Moya beaded love letters too!
The promotion was facilitated by Valley of 1000 Hills Tourism CTO who are running a feature over February so we can be reminded of why we love the 1000 Hills – featuring some of the activities, events, attractions and places to stay in the area. Their Facebook and website has some great ideas of things to do and see, and places to stay.
