Two Christmas events next weekend
Ho Ho Ho – it is Christmas in July in 1000 Hills with two events taking place both with a distinctly festive theme: Music at Lindisfarne B&B in Botha’s Hill on Sunday 17 July, and Christmas décor and goodies for sale in a Christmas marquee at Kloof SPCA from Saturday 16 until approximately Saturday 23 July.
Christmas in July will be happening at Lindisfarne B&B in Botha’s Hill on Sunday 17 July. Husband and wife team, Jane and Paul Candow – aka Inter Alia – who have been professional performers since 1984 playing the Durban music circuit from 1984 until 1997. They were also responsible for some great cabaret and supper-theatre shows post 1997, as well as a slew of TV and corporate performances.
Inter-Alia, are once again teaming up with Emanuel Pietersen and Jacques Tomlinson of Untamed from Pretoria to provide an afternoon of eclectic music (including some Christmas and tunes!) on the expansive lawn at Lindisfarne. The concert will be held in conjunction with Dormehl Phalane and sponsors, St Bernard’s Peak, October Sun, Pot and Kettle, Blessings, The Potting Shed, DMF and Parable 15. There are fantastic prizes to give away to winning ticket holders.
Gates open at 11.30 am, Tickets are available at the gate R100 per person cash or credit card. Kloof SPCA is having a special Christmas in July sale for approximately ten days starting on Saturday 16 with an array of Christmas trees, novelties, gifts and décor for sale in a special Christmas themed marquee. Fabulous creatives Kevin Ellis and Gareth Greaves will be creating some festive magic in Kloof – Christmas music will be playing, and the tea garden will have Christmas items on their menu.
