A fabulous fun active day out with a difference, can be enjoyed at Infinite Adventures and Hillcrest Paintball – found up the road from 1000 Hills Chefs School on a glorious property with one of the best views in the outer west – where you have a pristine, elevated view of pretty much all 1000 of the famed hills.
Families, get the kids off the couch and off their devices; bosses take your staff out of the office away from their laptops; and teachers get the kids out of the classroom into the fresh air, and have a full day of fun activity trying a bunch of different interactive physical challenges.
Packages
Infinite Adventures offers structured packages which can be tailor made to suit the participants and occasion, and is suitable for able bodied adults and children. Their packages are ideal for team building, birthday parties, bulls parties and school camps. On offer is a climbing wall, archery, ball skills, rock climbing and an obstacle course. All activities take place under the watchful eye of qualified instructors, and don’t require any prior experience of the activities on offer.
Paintball
Infinite Adventures is also the home of Hillcrest Paintball which runs over weekends (or on request) and offers the largest and most extensive paintball course over three different terrains: urban, forest and bush. The three courses are brilliant. The urban location is built around a moody, derelict homestead, with jungle-gym type obstacles and shields, and even the shell of an old Landi.
The different paintball options are Airsfot which isa bit more realistic and tactical, Airsoft is suitable for ages 16 and up. Lasertag is Hillcrest Paintball’s latest attraction, suitable for all ages five and up. Paintball isHillcrest Paintball’s oldest attraction, suitable for all ages 10 and up; and Splatmaster which is alow impact paintball alternative, suitable for all ages seven to 10, and is perfect for the younger kids’ birthday party. Group sizes are a minimum of four and maximum of 30. However, should your group be larger or smaller, they can be accommodated accordingly.
If you want to make a day of it, lunches, braais, spit-braais or snack packs can be pre-ordered. And if you want to make a weekend of it or have a sleep over, there are tented camps. Evening and fire-side activities can also be arranged.
This fabulous 50-acre farm in the heart of 1000 Hills can be hired for rustic outdoor functions – capitalising on the magnificent location, ample space, kitchen and ablution facilities, and undercover dining area.
Infinite Adventures is also home to the 1000 Hills Parkrun which Bruce Fordyce believes to be the most challenging Parkrun in the country – which takes athletes through the majestic hills and through forest and hilly terrain.
Infinite Adventures was started in 2013 by Jason Pachon, who has been involved in the outdoor and adventure industry for the past 10 years, specialising in outdoor educational camps and corporate and educational team building. He cut his teeth in the industry by working as a Camp Counsellor in America, and his passion for the outdoors began in 2002 when he started working at Action Paintball Enterprises. Six years later he bought the company and re-launched it as Hillcrest Paintball relocating it to new premises.
He has great plans to further develop the offerings – including building a dormitory allowing additional accommodation for overnight guests.
