Bush Junkies is an intimate owner run safari business. It is based in the Durban area but also does safaris all over South Africa. The owner, Roger Owen, is qualified to guide in all 9 provinces and conducts all safaris personally.
About Us
Bush Junkies specialises in tailor-made wildlife and adventure safaris anywhere in South Africa and into some neighbouring countries. The safari is put together specifically for you and your group of friends or family; we consult with you so that we can plan an itinerary that is totally to your liking. Unlike fixed itinerary tours where you must fit in with the larger group, you will, in a sense, be master of your own destiny. So whatever interests you – be it wildlife safaris, birding, white-water rafting or hot-air ballooning – Bush Junkies is for you!
In addition we offer local day or overnight trips in the greater Durban and KZN area to game reserves such as Tala, Gwahumbe, St Lucia or Hluhluwe. These are also tailored to suit each group – no fixed tours or dates!
While we are able to hire any suitable vehicle for your safari, we also have our specially adapted Landrover for outstanding game-viewing and comfortable travel. Relax in Boeing aircraft seats, enjoying the view through extra large windows It’s air-conditioned for those hot days, and you are welcome to refreshments from our on-board 80 litre fridge while traveling!
