Far Place borders the Krantzkloof Nature Reserve – less than 5kms from the Kloof Village Mall. A scenic drive through the Reserve will bring you to Far Place, which is only 250 meters from the Kloof Falls. An easy walk to a spectacular view site begins on the property.
About Us
The spacious studio style accommodation is bright and airy – the outlook is onto indigenous forest with abundant bird life and with regular visits of monkeys and dassies.
Enjoy the feeling of space and privacy. The unit has its own comfortable lounge with DStv, a dining area and a fully fitted kitchen. There is a fan and a gas heater for the cooler nights. The beds are luxuriously appointed and the en-suite bathroom fitted with bath/shower and vanity basin.
In addition, there is a 2nd bedroom downstairs with twin beds – which makes Far Place ideal for the businessman or the holidaymaker with a family. Guests have the use of the beautifully situated mountain pool overlooking the gorge.
The unit has a separate entrance, is very private and has safe off-road parking. There is a second smaller apartment on ground level opening onto the pool and sundeck. This comprises a double bedroom and a single bedroom with a full en suite bathroom & sep. loo. There is a small comfortable lounge with DSTv.
A scrumptious full breakfast will be served in your unit or, weather permitting, can be served on the deck. Dinner can be arranged on request.
The picturesque village of Kloof is just 25kms from Durban with none of its heat and humidity. We are situated in the heart of the 1000 Hills Experience with easy access to the Drakensberg Resorts and the Inanda Dam are both a 30 minute drive from Far Place.
An excellent selection of restaurants, pubs, a gym and the Kloof Country Club golf course are on our doorstep, as are 3 shopping malls. And, of course, the Krantzkloof Nature Reserve has stunning easy walks for the nature enthusiast who has a few hours to while away.
We have recently erected a sundeck to maximise the stunning view of the gorge. The smaller unit downstairs has two bedrooms, a full bathroom and a small comfortable lounge. This unit opens onto the pool and sundeck.
We are ideally suited to Dusi and Comrades enthusiasts.
